1. Add a New Engine
Here you can add a custom engine to your search engine other than the predefined 12 engines. The different methods of adding an engine is given below.

1.1 New Engine Based on Term/Theme
You can enter the name of the engine you want to create, in the tab name field. You can specify the theme you want for this engine. If you want the searches to be done in a particular category, that category can be entered as theme (For example: If you want search result for sports, please enter sports as the theme). By clicking on Create New Engine button, a new engine will be created.
For example, if we give 'Sports Search' as tab name and 'sports' as theme, the search results obtained through 'Sports Search' tab will be based on the theme 'sports'.

1.2 New Engine Based on a Website
Here you can enter the name of the engine you want to create, in the tab name field. Also please enter the website in which your search is to be done. You can enter multiple websites by separating each website with a comma. Click on the 'Create New Engine' button to complete the operation. The search results for this engine will be based on a single site or multiple websites according to the data you have provided. For example, if we give 'Education' as tab name and website as wikipedia.org , the search results on Education tab will be only from the wikipedia.org. Similarly if we give education as tab name and website as wikipedia.org,education.com the search result will comprise from these two websites.

1.3 New Engine Based on Specific TLD/Domain Extension
This section is mainly used to create a new engine with a particular domain extension/ TLD. Enter the engine name in the tab name field. Theme field is not mandatory. If you want your search results with particular extension, you can enter that extension as TLD/Domain extension. Click the 'Create New Engine' button, a new engine is created.
For example, if we give 'News Search' as tab name and 'news' as theme and 'uk' as the TLD/Domain extension. Then all search results through this engine will return UK based news results.

1.4 New Engine Based on Type
Here you can create a new engine based on type(eg:pdf,text etc.). Please enter the engine name in the tab name field. Then select the type from the drop down. Click on 'Create New Engine' button, a new engine is generated based on selected type.
For example, if we create a new engine 'PDF Documents' and if we select type as pdf then search results will consist of pdf documents only.

2. Manage Engines
In manage engines area we have various options like enable/disable an engine,edit, view details and delete an engine. The enable/disable of an engine can be done by the corresponding enable/disable link. By selecting this, we can decide which engines should be displayed in the public area. The edit link help us to update the respective engine. The view details link allow us to check the detail view of the engine. By using the delete link we can delete an engine.

Configure your optional hidden keyword you want to add with search:- If you want the public search results based on some theme for each engine, you may add your theme keyword here.You can add this hidden keyword seperately for each engine. Whatever search is done from the public area will be prefixed with the associated hidden keyword if any.

3. Manage Sorting Order of Engines
In this section you can deal with the sorting order of the engines for the public pages. The engines are listed in the order as they appeared in public area. The position of the the engine can be arranged by using move up and move down link. By clicking on move up link you can move the engine one step up whereas, the move down link will move the position of engine one step down.

4. Manage Keyword Suggestion and Cloud Tags for Engines
Allows to manage the keyword suggestions and cloud tag of each engine by turning ON/OFF. Here you can manage engine individually.

1. Add New Language
If you want to display the messages (shown in public area) in a different language which is currently not available in the admin area, you can add the new language from 'Add New Language' section. Please enter the Language name in English in 'Language Name' field and in its native script in 'Name in Regional language' field(Eg: If you want to add the language Spanish, please fill the field Language Name with Spanish and Name in Regional language with Espanol). Please specify the character encoding of the language in the 'Character Encoding' text field(Not mandatory). Usually the character encoding utf-8 will support almost all languages. If the language is written from left to right, select 'Left to Right (L2R)' or if the language is written from right to left(for example: Arabic), select 'Right to Left (R2L)' as language alignment. If you want to make the newly added language directly choosable from home page, tick the 'Index the language in home page' option. Click on 'Add Language' button to save the details you have entered. Once you have added a new language, you may need to add messages and engine names translations.

2. Manage Languages
All languages are listed here. Languages name with details like name in native script, character encoding, alignment and status are listed. Options like manage engine name, messages, edit language details, delete language and disable/enable language are given along with each language. If you want to add a new message, please provided the message in the 'New message' link for English language. Once you have added the message in English, you can later translate it to its corresponding message in other languages.

3. Manage Engine Names
Please select the language for which you want to manage the engine names. Click on 'Manage !' button, all the engines names (in English and in the selected language)will be listed. You can modify the engine names in this page. Click on 'Update !' button to save the details you have entered.

4. Manage Messages
Please select the language for which you want to manage the messages. Click on 'Manage !' button, all the messages (in English and in the selected language) will be listed.You can modify the messages for the selected language in this page. Click on 'Update !' button to save the details you have entered.

5. Add New Message
You can add new messages from here. Newly added message should be given in English. The message in other languages corresponding to the newly added message can be entered from 'Manage Messages' section.
Note: You will never need to add a new message unless you want to add more details/messages in the public section.

6. Message Codes
Template code of all messages which are used in public area are given here. If you have added a new message, the template code for that also will be displayed here. To display the messages in public pages, please copy and paste the corresponding template code in public pages.
Note: Templates codes are not available for messages with template variables (For example: Showing results {$startingnum}-{$endingnum} out of {$total} for {$keyword}. Here the template code is not available since variables are used in the message).

1. Basic Settings

Your search engine service name:- You can add your search engine service name here. This name will be displayed in all public pages.

Your Email address:- Please enter your email address here. Any notification to the admin, will be sent to this email address.

Inoutscripts affiliate ID:- Here you can enter the affiliate ID provided by Inoutscripts. This ID will be added in the 'Powered by Inoutscripts' link shown in the footer.

Turn on arithmetic conversion:- If you want to provide a calculated result for an arithmetic expression (entered as a search keyword from public area) tick the 'Turn on arithmetic conversion' option. (For Example: If arithmetic conversion option is turned on, result for '1+5' will be '1+5=6'). If the arithmetic conversion is turned off (unchecked), you will get only web results for an arithmetic expression.

Turn on unit conversion:- If you want to provide the conversion results, if any, along with the web results for a search keyword, tick the 'Turn on unit conversion' option. (For example: If Unit Conversion option is turned on, for the search keyword 1 Inch, '1 Inch = 2.54 centimeters' will be shown).

Enable 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button:- If it is turned on, ' I'm feeling lucky ' button will be displayed in the home page in the public area. If search is done with the 'I'm feeling lucky button', user will be automatically redirected to the click URL of the first result.

Enable badwords filter:- By turning on this option, user searches will be filtered against the badword list which is maintained by the administrator. Search will be done with the rest of the words. (For example: If you want to filter out the word 'porn' from search results, please enable the badword filter and add the word 'porn' in the badwords section. )

Enable Multi languages:- This option helps you to enable multilanguage support in your script. From the public area, the people can choose the languages in which they want to use your search engine as like in Google so that the labels and messages will be displayed in the selected language.

List language names in their native script:- If you want to display the languages in its corresponding native script in the home page, please enable this option (Example: If you want to display the language Spanish in the Home page as Espanol, turn on the option ). If this option is unticked, all languages will be displayed in English. It is better to untick the option if you want to support too many languages as your visitors may not have fonts to display all the languages.

Number of related keywords to be shown in result page:- Here you can specify the number of related keywords to be displayed in the public result pages.

Turn on cloud tags:- To show the most commonly searched keywords, please turn this feature on. If cloud tags is on, the most commonly searched keywords will be displayed in the home page in a separate section.

Number of words displayed in cloud tag:- Here, you can enter the number of searched keywords will be displayed in cloud tag in the public area.

Show cloud tags only when default language is selected:- This option is used to display the cloud tags only when the default language is selected. In all other cases (selection of other languages) cloud tags will not be displayed.

Default language:- Using this option you can set a default language for the public area. If your visitor do not specify a particular language, then all the site content will be available to him/her in the default language.

Search type display style:- There are four search engine display styles; Tab, text link, radio button and drop down. In tabs all the active engines added from admin area are displayed in tabs. Text Link style is similar to the tabs but it will be simple text links as like in google/yahoo search engines. Radio button style shows all the engines as radio buttons where drop down style simply lists all engines in a drop down.

Turn on Keyword suggestion:- To show keyword suggestions in public area please turn on this feature.

Number of words should be displayed in Keyword suggestions:- Here, you can enter the number of words needed to be displayed in the keyword suggestions.

Show number of results with suggestion keywords:- To show total results along each keyword in the keyword suggestion, please turn on this feature.

Allow visitors to submit their URL to Inout WebCrawler Plus Database:- This option is valid only if you have any associated Inout WebCrawler Plus script for you. This is for submiting urls to the Inout WebCrawler Plus from your search engine public area.

Default country:- This option helps you to set a default country for searching if no country is selected from the public area.

Change home page logo and Admin logo:- You can enter separate logo, for homepage and result page in the public area.The purpose of using two logos is that, the logo showing in the home page will be bigger in size compared to the result page. Here, you can enter the logo which should be displayed in the public area home page.This logo is shown in admin side also.

Change result page logo:- Here, you can enter logo which should be displayed in the result page in the public area.

Specify Ad type in Web Result page:- Here, you can choose the ad type you want to show in web result page. Either you can show the ad code directly or you can display the sponsored links from your Inout Adserver by choosing appropriate option. If you want to show neither adcode nor sponsored links, then you can select the option "none" .

Specify Ad type in News and Special Result pages:- Here, you can choose the ad type you want to show in news result page and other special result pages. Here also there are options corresponding to Ad code and Sponsored Links. If you do not want to show any ads, then you may opt "none" in the list.

Turn on Auto search suggestion:- To empower users to type less and do more with automated and complete search suggestions please turn on this feature.

Bing Auto Suggest API key:- Here, you can enter the Bing Auto Suggest API key.

2. Display Settings

Enable quicklook:- If you want to show quick look along with each search result, please turn this feature on. Allow user to override option will enable your visitors to override the quick look option. By turning the override feature on, users can enable/disable the quick look from public area.

Enable email a friend link:- By turning this feature on, users will be able to send a search result link to his/her friends.

Show keywords in result as bold text:- If you want to show the words of each keyword as bold text, for each result, please turn this feature on.

Enable 'new window' icon next to results:- If you enable this feature, an icon will be displayed right to each search result and by clicking it the link will be opened in a new window.

Allow users to choose display theme:- If you want to allow users to choose their desired themes from the public area, please turn this feature on.

Allow to show image results in web:- If you turn this feature on, the first five image results for the search keyword will be shown in web result page(only if the image result for searched keyword is already cached).

Allow users to search based on a country:- If you want to allow users to search based on a country, please turn on this feature. Users can select the required country from public area.

Show Auto Country Radion Buttons:- This option is for choosing whether to show or hide the radio buttons corresponding to show all and auto detected country from which the user is browsing. If the country corresponding to the people browsing for results cannot be traced properly, this option automatically will be in disabled mode. This will help your users to search results from World Wide or corresponding to their particular country by selecting any of the radio buttons directly.

Change logo based on different seasons specified:- This configuration will enable/disable the seasonal logo feature.

Show full size image in:- If you want to open full size images for image results in a light box with special effects, please select 'Lightbox'. If you want to open full size images for image results in a popup window, please select 'Popup window'.If you are selecting 'Normal window, then the full size image will be opened in the same window without any special effects.

3. Themes Settings
You may configure the default theme you want for the public pages. You may specify what should be the default engine type styles, result page styles and the general page layout style. These selected styles will be applied in the public area if user has not selected a theme group.

4. Change Password
Administrator password can be changed from here. Enter old password, new password and confirm the new password. Then click on 'Change Password' button to save the new password.

1. System Statistics
System statistics allows you to view the number of total cached pages through all engines, number of total searches, number of active engines, number of active languages and the number of active conversion rules. In addition, it provides a link, filter by engines with total cached pages and total searches which serves the purpose of viewing total cached pages in each tab and total searches done in each engine respectively. Total searches in each engine can be also viewed on time basis by selecting the time period from the drop down.

2. Engine Statistics
Engine statistics allow you to view number of searches done through each engine. You also have option for choosing the time period from the drop down box. If you do not choose time period it will shows statistics of all searches done. It also provides a link 'View Keywords' along with each engine which allows to view the count of each keyword searched through the engine.

System statistics Graph gives you the graphical representation of total cached pages through all engines

1. New Conversion Rule
Here you can add new conversion rule which help users to get these conversion rule along with searched result while searching for conversion through web. Please enter the source unit and the resulting conversion text. Then by clicking add conversion button, you can add a new conversion to the conversion rule.
For instance, if you enter 1 inch as source unit and enter 2.54 centimeters as conversion text, then while searching for 1 inch through web we will get result 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters, along with its web results.

2. Manage Conversion Rule
Manage conversion rule allow you to view all the conversion rules available for users while searching. It also provides three links edit, delete, enable/disable the conversion. The edit option aids you to update the conversion rule. The delete option allow you to delete the rule while enable / disable decides whether the conversion rule should be active or inactive in public area.

This is a section helps you to filter out some words or phrases from the search keywords. The bad words added by the admin are filtered out from the search phrase and search will be done for the rest of the phrase. If the search keyword is a single word which is added as a bad word no results will be found. (For example: If you want to filter out the word 'porn' from search results, please enable the badword filter and add the word 'porn' as a bad word.)

1. New Keyword
This section is meant to add new words to the bad word filter. Enter the bad word which is not already added to the family filter. Click on 'Add Keyword' button to save the details.

2. Manage Keywords
All bad words added by the administrator are listed here. Edit/delete options are given with each keyword.

What is Cache: Cache is a temporary storage area where frequently accessed data can be stored for rapid access. Once the data is stored in the cache, it can be used in the future by accessing the cached copy rather than re-fetching or recomputing the original data using the API.

1. Manage Cache
Here each engine is listed with its cache period. If needed you can update the cache period of each engine by selecting suitable time period from respective drop downs. Then by clicking update cache button the cache period of each engine is updated.

2. Delete Old Cache
Here you can view each engine with its total number of cached pages, number of old cache pages, a link namely ' Delete Old Cache' which help you to delete all the old cached pages and a link 'Enable/Disable Cache' which determines whether caching is to be done for the respective engines. In addition, a link namely 'Delete old cache from all engines' allow you to delete all old cached pages of all engines in a single click.

Mobile search allows users to search your website from their mobile phone. You may turn this feature ON/OFF from your admin area under mobile settings section.

1. Mobile Settings

Enable/Disable Mobile Mode
Allows you to specify whether you want to redirect users to the mobile version of your search engine when they access your search engine from their mobile phone.

Mobile default language
The mobile language can be specified here. The admin can select the default mobile language for public. All the mobile content will be available to the public in this language.

Enable Popular Keywords
This feature will allow you to choose whether you want to show the popular keywords to the public.

Popular keywords Count
Allows you to specify the total number of popular keywords that you want to show to the public.

Enable Related Keywords
Enable/Disable related keywords here. If you enable the related keyword option, users can view the related keywords of the searched keyword in the results page.

Related Keywords Count
Allows you to specify the total number of related keywords that you want to show to the public.

Choose Country
Allows you to choose the country for which the mobile users need to get their results targeted.

Enable Image Results in Web
This feature determines whether to show results from Images mixed inside the Web results. If you enable this feature, then a few results from Images will be shown in the web results for a keyword search.

Default Mobile Theme
You can choose a default mobile theme from the set of available mobile themes. The mobile theme will provide different style for the home page and the result pages in the public area.

Mobile Public Table Width
Here you can enter the desired table width for mobile section. The table width manages the correct display of the site in different browsers.

Mobile Logo
Here you can upload logo for mobile pages. That means your mobile logo may not be exactly the same that you are using for the computer version.

2. New Mobile Theme
In this section you can create new mobile themes for home page and result pages of mobile search. You can enter a unique theme name to identify the theme. The style is expected to be in CSS format.

3. Manage Mobile Themes
You can manage all the mobile themes listed here. You may edit or delete your mobile themes. The edit link allows you to update a particular mobile theme. The delete link allows you to delete a mobile theme.

Database engines allow you to create search tabs based on your local database rather than relying on a third party API key. It allows you to create complex search results in any format you want.

1. New DB Engine

You can create a new database engine here. If you have some knowledge in writing SQL queries, then you can use this feature easily. In the New Engine field, you may provide an Engine name.

1.1 MYSQL Details
Mysql details section allows you to enter the information required to connect to the particular database of the server. It allows you to specify your MySQL server name, database username, database password and the database name.

1.2 Query Details
This section determines the behaviour of the new DB engine. You may specify the SQL query based on the engine works. The 'select' field in query details indicates the names of the table fields required in your results. The 'from' field indicates the names of the tables used in this query (multiple tables can be used by separating by commas). The 'where' field is for specifying the result condition. Please use the variable {search} in condition where you want to place your actual search keyword. In real time the {search} variable will be replaced with the actual user search keyword. The scripts automatically manages the paging. So please do not use the 'limit' keyword in your where condition.

1.3 Result Format
Your DB engine search results are displayed in result page according to the format given in this field, that is, whether your results should comprises of link or text content and how it should be ordered etc. You can use table fields in result format as {1}, {2}, {3}, {4} etc where the number denote at what position your needed field is present in the select field of the query details.

For example, you are writing a query to view the employee details of an organisation. You want to view the name, age, qualification and address of the active employees. The name should be a link which should redirect to a site which shows address. The age and qualification should appear as text content. The example query can be "SELECT id,name, age, qualification FROM employeedetails WHERE name='{search}'". Here id, name, age, qualification are given in select field and employeedetails is given in from field and name='{search}' is given in condition field of query details.

The content of the result format can be as follows

2. Manage DB Engines
All the database engines can be managed here. Each database engine is managed using various links corresponding to Edit, Test, Disable/Enable, View Details and Delete operations. The Edit link allow you to update any of the database engine details if required. The test link checks server connection, authentication, database connection of the database engine and finally it verify whether the results are fetched properly for the specified query. The delete link allow you to delete a database engine. The Disable/Enable will make you to inactive/active database engine respectively. The view details link allow you to view the settings and related details of the database engines.

3. Database Engine - Settings

Turn on Spelling Suggestion for Database Engines
By turning on this option the user can view an alternate search keyword when he/she searches with a misspelled keyword.

Turn on Related Keywords for Database Engines
If this option is turned on, users can view related keywords for the searched keyword, while searching in any of the database engines from the public area.

The features allows you to show various logos corresponding to various seasons as like in Google Search.

1. Add season
Here you can add a new seasonal logo and configure its settings. By clicking on the logo the end users will be able to go to the result page directly with a related keyword search. You can enter a unique name for season in the season name field. You can upload home page logo and result page logo through the corresponding fields. The start date indicates the date from which that particular logo should be activated. Along with it you can also specify the start hour and minute the logo should be active. The end date indicates the end time limit of the specified seasonal logo. Here also you can limit end hour and minute of the the logo.

2. Manage Seasons
Here all the expired and active logos are listed. These logos can be managed using view & edit, delete links. The view & edit link allow you to view as well as to update the logo details. The delete link allow you to delete the particular seasonal logo.

Priority search results allows you to add your own results for some keywords and show these results on top for those keyword searches. You may add any number of results from your member area and tag unlimited keywords to each result.

1. New Priority Results
Here you can add new result. You can specify the title, description, URL and Display URL of your result. The keywords section allow you to enter a set of keywords which is separated by commas for which the results will be prioritized.

2. Manage Priority Results
You can manage all the priority results with various operations like Edit, Delete, Enable and Disable. The edit link allows you to update your priority results. The Delete link allows you to delete any of the priority results and the Enable/Disable links allows you to make any result active or inactive respectively.

3. View Keywords
Here you can view all the keywords in the priority results and the number of times each keyword is tagged with different results. The link 'Manage order' link helps you to sort the order of result tagged with the same keyword in different results.

4. Priority Settings

Maximum Priority results in result page
This field indicates the maximum priority results that can be shown in the web result page. This value should be always less than or equal to ten.

Handling Priority Results
Here you can handle the priority results by choosing appropriate option, that is either by appending with existing web results or by replacing some web results.

1. New RSS Source
You can define a new RSS source here. Please enter name of the source in the field 'source name'. The URL of the source need to be specified in 'source URL' field. Inout Search Engine is capable to identify the results from these RSS sources automatically. Anyway if you want to parse RSS data from an unstructured RSS feed, you may choose "Identify results with a pattern" and specify the pattern and result parameter positions. If the pattern is not correct,then the results may not be fetched properly from the source.

2. RSS Sources
You may manage all your RSS sources here. You may do various operations on these RSS feeds like Edit, View Details, Test, Enable/Disable and Delete. The test link allow you to test the source and verify that the results are fetched properly from the source.

3. New RSS Engine
An RSS Engine is a group of RSS sources in which the a public user can perform his/her search. The RSS engines comprises of different RSS sources. You can enter the name of RSS engine as Engine Name.

3.1 Pick RSS Sources
Here you can pick up the required RSS sources for your engine by selecting the corresponding check boxes.

3.2 RSS Engine Details
In this section you can manage the RSS engine details. In the description length field you can specify the maximum length of description characters that need to be shown in public area.The option of 'Mix results from various sources' allows the public to see results in mixed form or to see results from various sources in sequential order.

4. Manage RSS Engines
All your RSS engines can be managed here. You may perform operations such as Edit, View Details, Disable/Enable, Delete and Manage Source Order. The edit link allows you to update the source engine details. The Manage source order link allows you to change the order of sources in the RSS engine. The delete link allows you to delete a RSS engine. The Enable/Disable link can make the RSS engine active or inactive. The View Details link allows you to view the details of RSS engine.

Webmaster tools allow other webmaster to get some tools and features from your search engine.

1. Webmaster Settings

Allow other webmasters to add search to their site
Determines whether to allow or disallow other webmasters to add your search engine's search box in their website.

Search box width
The default search box width in the generated search code for other webmasters.

Allow users to choose engines
Determines whether to allow users to choose the specific engines they want while they are generating the search code.

Webmaster Style
You may configure the default CSS styles of the layout of the search code generated for other webmasters.

Your 'Powered By' logo
Here you can enter the logo required for the web master tools.

1. General API Keys

Inout Search Engine helps you to get search results 100% legally using proper API keys. You may specify your API keys in this section. API keys for Google, Bing and Inout WebCrawler Plus(If you are using any) can be configured here to get the correct search results. If you do not have API keys yet, you can get it by clicking the corresponding link along with each field. Also you can configure here the API key for Google Youtube Developer for integrating video results from Youtube in your search engine.

Search Sources:- Here you can choose the source - Youtube or Bing or both, from where your videos search results should be retrieved. Also you can choose one or many from the sources - Google, Bing, Inout WebCrawler Plus(If any) from which your web, images, news and special search results should be fetched.

{elseif ($helpid==16)} Member Section

This section allows you to manage all users along with their comments as well as their favourite results. From here, you can View, Activate, Block and Delete Users as well as their comments.

1. Manage Users

Here you can view the details of each user.You are allowed to manage all users from here. That is Activate, Block or Delete Users. You can block or delete users if required. If you want to put a short term termination for a particular user in using his account, then you can block that user. If you click for deleting a user, that user will be deleted along with all comments posted as well as all favourite results added by him.

View Starred Results:- Here you can view the favorite results(starred results) added by each user based on each engine. Here if there are any categories created by the users for grouping their favourite results , that also will be listed. Then you can see the favourite results based on a combination of both engine and category.

2. Manage Comments
Here you can view and manage all the comments posted by users for a specific result or for a particular domain. That is Activate, Block or Delete Comments. For result based comments you are requested to enter that particular result url of which you want to view the comments. For viewing domain based comments, you need to enter that specific domain.

Database Comments:- To view the comments posted for database engine you need to click on the link 'Database Comments' and then select the database engine of which you want to view the comments.

1. Ad Code
You may put in your third party ad display code here. Ad code configured here will show corresponding ads in the right panel of the result pages for web, news and all other special searches. To display ads in any other location other than the right of the results, you may just need to put the code in the corresponding template file.

2. Sponsored Links
If you want to display your Inout Adserver ads on the top and right of result pages, you can add the necessary details from here. Along with this, you might activate the ad type to show sponsored links, under the basic settings section. If you enable the option "Show public service ads from Inout Adserver if the right panel is empty", then public service ads will be displayed.

1. Search Plug-in
Search Plug-in allows your users to access your search engine directly from their browsers. When your users add this Search Plug-in to their browser, your search engine will be added to the lists of search engines provided by the browser itself. To search for files users can simply enter their search terms into the search box and click the “Search” button. The plug-in will help to provide your users the results related to their search terms. You may configure your Search Plug-in settings here.
